In our last Soulful Sisters session, we delved into the importance of preparing your heart before making dua so that when you do ask, your dua is transformed, inshaAllah.

As we go into this beautiful month and the best month to make dua, our teacher has kindly shared with us the etiquette of making dua.

We pray these are beneficial for you all and help you connect deeper to your duas and your Lord.

Etiquettes of Dua:

1. Seek out the blessed times: last third of the night, early morning hours, after the adhan, after the obligatory prayers, the time of du’a on Friday, and in Ramadan.
2. Do any good deed before each dua
3. Make sincere tawba
4. Begin with hamd of Allah and salawat
5. Make du’a with sincerity, with a focused mind and heart, while being fully certain that Allah will answer it and that no one can answer it but Allah. Call on Allah with yearning, longing, need, and hope while being humble.
6. To be patient and realise that Allah has full knowledge of our problems and is in full control of our circumstances
7. End with hamd and salawat

As always and especially in this month, we humbly ask that you keep us in your duas!

As they are progressing through the Book of Assistance, their Ustadha asked the girls how they feel after several months engaging with this book. And their answers:

1. I feel more self-aware
2. ⁠I feel uneasy in certain situations (e.g, backbiting)

Surely, this is the true start of a believer’s path - to become more self-aware and thereby aware of Allah tala. To question the situations we’re in and reflect on whether they bring us closer to Allah t’ala or further away. And what is our spiritual heart feeling in each situation?

The Spirituality Lessons at the Teens Class have provided a beautiful space for learning and growth - where we move to cushions on the floor, to sit in a circle and connect our hearts. With reflective questions, we break down and discuss the content of the book and relate it to modern times, real experiences, and struggles that we currently face. We ponder over the wisdoms, and Hadith and the girls discuss with one another what they mean to them, and then we share as a group.

Though no doubt the lessons in this book are life long - we pray the foundations are being set here - with an anchor in the heart to keep bringing us back to where we need to be - time and time again 🤲🏻❤️

Last Saturday, we had our first Hubb ladies trek, and it was a worthwhile chilly climb to the top of Mam Tor!

We kicked things off on the very muddy Mam Tor trail! SubhanAllah, the views from the summit were absolutely stunning, especially looking out over the Great Ridge walk.

At Hubb Acorns, the children created a stunning craft of the farthest Lote Tree.

It has been a fulfilling few days and we pray Allah accepts our efforts, continues to give our teachers himmah, and blesses you all in these beautiful days.

The kids made a cute craft, had a fun sensory, did lots of fun free play and then had a beautiful and interactive circle time.

Alhumdulillah at Little Hubb, we truly try to connect children's hearts to Allah by connecting His creation to Him and what an honour that is!!

The kids made their own hot air balloons and for sensory play we had the clouds, sun and aeroplanes. ☁️🌤🛩

We also always have fun toys and activities out for free play (including a trampoline and slide! 🛝).

Ustaad so eloquently explained how our history cannot be detached from our Spirituality through the example of Muhammad ibn al-Qasim al-Thaqafi, who was a descendant from the people of Taif - the very same people who refused our Beloved Prophet ﷺ, abused and humiliated him - the very same people he ﷺ, our of his mercy, refused to make dua against and instead prayed, that Allah make from their descendents those who say: 'La illaha illalah Muhammadur Rasulullah...'

*Ghazali for Children - The Book of Belief & The Mysteries of Purification*

A 26 session course covering Book 2 and 3 in the Ghazali Children series in a transformative programme.

The course is designed to *nurture the pure, true nature within children* as it shows a path to understand the outer and inner aspects of our faith. Thereby inculcating a deep rooted connection and practice in worship.

Children will learn through holistic approaches such as: stories, metaphors, discussion, reflection, journalling, craft and practical activities.

_Imam al-Ghazalis teaching promotes a deep connection to the core principles of Islam, its philosophy and its purpose. There is a strong focus an reflection, spiritual understanding and self-correction. These aspects make the project unique and distinct from most other Islamic studies courses for children, both in content and quality._

As we dive into Chapters 3 and 4 of "Kensuke's Kingdom," we witness the character's exploration of the world, which is both exciting and educational.

🌏During this part of the story, the children engage in writing a ship's log, where they practice important skills like inference and retrieval.

Together, these skills not only improve reading comprehension but also encourage critical thinking and analytical abilities. The lessons are kept fun, so children will practice these skills without even realising.

Alhumdulillah, with the Grace of Allah, we are in our third year of Hubb Academy.

As with everything we try to do at The Hubb, we try to provide a holistic learning for the children.

Here the children are learning hadiths while practicing their Arabic writing! MashaAllah

Oh the pumpkin filled fun we had this week at Hubb Acorns!

The children learnt the differences between a pumpkin, squash, and gourd, as well as their unique names.

There was a yarn pumpkin craft to take home, playdough hedgehogs, and ofcourse toasted marshmallows to enjoy around a cosy campfire nasheed singalong.

It was certainly a 'gourd' way to end the year Alhamdulillah.

The beginning of this month marked the start of a new Hubb initiative: Hubb Essentials for Teens.

Our wonderful teachers and students are diving into a full year journey learning fiqh, seerah, and aqidah through various learning methods: discussion circles, quizzes, crafts, journaling, and so much more!

MashaAllah, we are so excited to follow them through this journey and pray Allah blesses it for everyone involved. Ameen ya Rabb!

This Tuesday at Hubb Acorns was an un-bee-lievably busy day with our little army of ants (children!) Mashallah.

We crafted these beautiful samara dragonflies and then went on a minibeast hunt, all the while identifying antennae, counting legs, and sorting our bugs into arthropods, annelids and molluscs.

Needless to say, we SNAILED it ! Alhamdulillah

Salaams and Jummah Mubarak!

Last Sunday our Literary Journeys started with the wonderful Mrs K!

The first session was all based on immersion: developing an understanding of plot and character through book study. Some of the benefits of this are: enhanced comprehension, increased motivation, improved retention, development of critical thinking, social skills, and emotional connection.

Mrs K and the kids had a beautiful first session and all the kids went home happy and excited to come back this Sunday.

Here is what some of the parents said:
'Same with my son! He said he's definitely going back for more!'

'The prep and resources were evident. My girls can't wait to come back!'

'My son enjoyed and is excited for next week!'

Thank you to Mrs K for bringing so much fun and joy to The Hubb. We're so excited to see how this journey develops...
